ભૂલો ભલે બીજું બધું, માબાપને ભૂલશો નહી
અગણિત છે ઉપકાર એના, એહ વિસરશો નહી
અસહ્ય વેઠી વેદના, ત્યારે દીઠું તમ મુખડું
એ પુનિત જનના કાળજાં, પથ્થર બની છૂંદશો નહી
કાઢી મુખેથી કાળિયા, મોંમા દઈ મોટા કર્યા
અમૃત તણા દેનાર સામે, ઝેર ઉછાળશો નહી
લાખો લડાવ્યા લાડ તમને, કોડ સહુ પુરા કર્યા
એ કોડના પૂરનારના, કોડ પૂરવા ભૂલશો નહી
લાખો કમાતા હો ભલે, માબાપ જેથી ના ઠર્યા
એ લાખ નહિ પણ રાખ છે, એ માનવું ભૂલશો નહી
સંતાનથી સેવા ચહો, સંતાન છો સેવા કરો
જેવું કરો તેવું ભરો, એ ભાવના ભૂલશો નહી
ભીને સૂઈ પોતે અને સૂકે સૂવાડ્યા આપને
એની અમીમય આંખને, ભૂલીને ભીંજવશો નહી
પુષ્પો બિછાવ્યાં પ્રેમથી, જેણે તમારા રાહ પર
એ રાહબરના રાહ પર, કંટક કદી બનશો નહી
ધન ખરચતાં મળશે બધું, માતાપિતા મળશે નહી
એનાં પુનિત ચરણો તણી, કદી ચાહના ભૂલશો નહી.

sant punit who was popularly known as punit maharaj had his ashram in moti koral near baroda.i had a chance to visit that place in mid fifties.he was very devoted bhakt and he has written many bhajans.this bhajan “BHULO BHALE BIJU BADHU…” is a most sung song in gujarati bhakti sangit.he has asked the children to worship parents first before bhagwan.i fully agree with his ideaology.we have not seen god but we have seen parents and their love and devotion in raising us.in fact God would be happier to see children taking care of their parents than to simply worship Him.
