Photographs – Raja Ravi Varma’s Studio

I do not have access to Gujarati typing, but I can not resist the urge to make a blog entry. Here are a couple of photographs I have taken on July 12th, 2009 during my visit to Baroda’s Laxmi Villas Palace and Fatehsinh Musuem.

It was a matter of great pride to be able to see Shri Raja Ravi Varma’s Studio . There are some really great pieces of art he has painted at the Palace and also at the Baroda Musuem and Fatehsinh musuems. I will share more photographs  in the near future.

Yes, There was a peacock sitting on top of the building. Also I was very sad to see the studio in such a bad shape. I hope some art lovers would come forward and help preserve.
